Digital Libraries 2000, Demonstration Submissions

Submissions

We invite submissions for open demonstrations of innovative digital library systems, components, and applications, including:

  • Extended browsing environments,
  • Hardware enhancements,
  • Special accommodations for persons with disabilities,
  • Fascinating special collections, and
  • Electronic performance art.

Extraordinary, unique, and innovative demonstrations are preferred. All submissions should relate somehow to digital libraries. Advertisements by vendors disguised as demos are inappropriate.

Build a small Web site in HTML that describes, justifies, and illustrates your demonstration (1-5 Web pages). Send the site's URI and plain-text abstract to Niell Kipp, the Demonstrations Chair.

Unless other arrangements are made, those whose submissions are accepted should be prepared to provide their own computers. Note that for the conference Internet service is expected but not guaranteed.

Submit URI and plain-text abstract to Neill Kipp, nkipp@vt.edu.

Submission deadline: 8pm EST, Monday, 7 February 2000
