The SIGWEB/SIGIR Vannevar Bush Award is given to the authors of the "Best Conference Paper" each year. The yearly award, whose recipient is selected from the full papers accepted for presentation at the conference, honors the pioneering vision of Dr. Vannevar Bush. In addition to the recognition, the award carries a $1000 cash prize, sponsored by Knowledge Systems, Inc.
